walking for someone we love...

Normally, I LOVE rain... i know i'm weird.. I just like rainy days................. when I don't have to go anywhere...

today, was an absolute disappointment...

why?

Because we've been looking forward to the March of Dimes Walk America all year long... So we got up bright & early, and let me tell you people.. Aunt Ann was at my house at SIX THIRTY.... that's AM... she was perched on my couch when I came downstairs... but she came alive about 8:30ish..

We were on the road headed for Kansas around 7 ish... it had been pouring down rain all morning, but we knew for SURE it was going to break up soon.. especially the further west we went,, but it got darker & darker... we got there, and it was POURING... buckets, and there was no end in sight... the walk was canceled.. I, for one, was disappointed that we wouldn't get to hear Kara's speech.. AND we didn't get to see the McTriplets kick off the walk with the Marching Cobra's (http://www.kcmarchingcobras.com/) I know that Kara has worked so hard this year as the Ambassador family, I know she was disappointed, as we all were....

Kara, you worked soo hard this year, I hope that you were able to spend the day relaxing.... btw.. i'm sending you money for our t's...

the rain has not stopped all day either..

Me, Grandma & Macy attended our Mother-Daughter banquet at Church, this happens every 2 years... I attended the last one with 3 babies in my belly, now I got to take my own Daughter.. Macy also won a doorprize, they called her name... and she won a cute, cuddly teddy bear, she immediately hugged it and the whole room (If you can imagine a room filled with all women.. maybe say... 100 give or take a few) with a resounding awwwww..... it was very sweet. We already had one of these cute little bears, so Macy decided to give it to another little girl we know... The men were our waiters... and Grandpa was there, so we snapped a picture..
