Friends & Family: Here is a recent copy of an exchange of e-mails sent to Babytrends Diaper Champ Customer service:
(my e-mail to the company through their website) problem: I am the mother of 1 year old boy/boy/girl triplets. We love the diaper Champ, we've used it everyday since we got it for a baby shower, Ilove it, however, after a year of use, the round blue plastic piece from theside (that says diaper champ) keeps falling off, we've tried to put it back numerous times but it will not stay on. I notice that without this piece there is some odor that does escape. Enough to want to purchase another diaper trash can. Are you able to send me some coupons to help with this purchase? I did not anticipate having to buy another one of these so soon or even at all.. Thanks so much for any way you can help.

My reply back to Babytrend: Thanks, but no thanks, I already have the blue knobs.. One of them will no longer stay in, something is broken.. I cannot take back to the store for credit or exchange, it's been used for 1 year. That's the best you can do?
Babytrend's Reply: (again, short, to the point) "Yes that is the best I can do...... What did you want to do..??"
My Reply back: I thought for sure your company would be able to send some coupons or something to help with the cost of purchasing another product that we did not expect would break so soon, However, since it is broken and the customer service for the company is less than expected, I expect I'll be purchasing a different product.
Babytrend's reply: Our product warranty is 6 months..... I am offering to send the blue knobs free...
I already have the knobs.. I'm not sure you got that from the last e-mail.. Thanks anyway!!
Folks: If you already have a diaper champ and it's broken, I highly suggest buying a different product. I usually don't post stuff like this.. but, I hardly ever encounter bad customer service!!
